The rise of the HCG level sets different physical changes which shock the body of the woman and hence causing nausea.

Varicose veins may get worse. If you already have varicose veins from previous pregnancies or you developed them only during this time, you will find that they get worse during the last trimester. You should consult a vein specialist during this time and follow his advice carefully. For example, if he suggests that you should wear support tights, follow his strict specifications as the wrong kind of pressure can make varicose veins worse.

The third trimester is the period where in everything starts to become uncomfortable and hard. This is the period where you experience all the hardships of pregnancy. Your body becomes larger and it becomes really hard to lie down and find a comfortable position to sleep. Not only that, your sleep is often interrupted by frequent trips to the bathroom, sudden forceful movements of your baby and practice contractions.

During the third trimester of pregnancy, you should expect to see your doctor, midwife or obstetrician every two to four weeks. They will check your blood pressure and measure you to make sure your baby is growing normally. They will also keep a close eye on the baby's movements and heartbeat and make sure it is positioned head down.

During Third month of the third trimester pregnancy, the baby's head will now descend into the pelvic region, and the mother may experience more frequent urge for urination, which is common. The baby's head will now have hair, the lungs of the baby are completely developed by now and the weight of the baby will now be about 7.25 pounds. There are chances of the mucus plug getting burst, anytime during the ninth month, which is a sure sign of approach of labor. The most unforgettable and exciting moment of a mother's life is likely to arrive anytime now, a moment that will be cherished forever.

Many women will find that the nausea that they experienced in early pregnancy will return as they approach the end of their pregnancy. Pregnancy nausea in the third trimester is actually a common occurrence and is thought to be due at least in part to the fact that the baby is now placing a great deal of pressure on the mother's stomach. This added pressure often causes not only nausea but also heartburn.
